Prayer for the Bread

"Gracious Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude, remembering the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. As we take this bread, we recall the words of our Lord: 'This is My body, which is given for you.' We thank You for His body, broken for us, that we might be made whole. As we eat this bread, may we be reminded of His suffering and His love, and may we live in a way that honors His sacrifice. Bless this bread as we partake, and may it strengthen us spiritually as we continue to walk in faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

"Baba Mwenyezi, tunakuja mbele zako tukiwa na mioyo iliyojaa shukrani, tukikumbuka dhabihu ya Mwanao, Yesu Kristo. Tunapoumega mkate huu, tunakumbuka maneno ya Bwana wetu: 'Huu ni mwili Wangu, unaotolewa kwa ajili yenu.' Tunakushukuru kwa mwili Wake uliovunjwa kwa ajili yetu, ili sisi tuweze kufanywa wakamilifu. Tunapokula mkate huu, tunakumbushwa mateso na upendo Wake, na tunakuomba tuishi kwa namna inayoheshimu dhabihu Yake. Ubariki mkate huu tunaposhiriki, na uutie nguvu za kiroho tunapoendelea kutembea katika imani. Katika jina la Yesu, Amina."
